As managers, we often find ourselves to be working with other individuals, let it be managing subordinates or working with others in groups. Group work can either be a pleasant experience or sometimes it can leave many feeling frustrated. One might feel "It would have been quicker if I had just done it myself" or 'It would have been easier if I just worked by myself'. So when should we use a group to address a particular problem, what is the optimal number of individual in a group, what are the major advantages and disadvantages of using groups to solve a problem and what are the necessary steps needed to effectively perform in a group for the best result.
